We offer discounted rates, special offers, long-stay discounts & other Seolo Africa Journey specials on a regular basis.

All honeymooners receive a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine on arrival, a private dinner and a romantic turndown service at no extra charge. Please note that special offers and discounts of any kind cannot be combined. Limited suites available.

Child rates

We regret no children under the age of 12 can be accommodated at Plains Camp unless a family or group have booked exclusive use of the camp (see Children’s policy). Children 12 years or older pay adult rates at Plains Camp.

As triples are not available at Plains Camp, a third child would require their own room at adult rate plus single supplement.

Sleep-Outs Activity

The first guests to book a reservation at Rhino Walking Safaris determine whether a Sleep-Out will be included or not. If the first guests request a Sleep-Out then all guests making subsequent bookings will do a Sleep-Out. If the first guests to book stipulate that they do not wish to do a Sleep-Out, then nobody will be able to do a Sleep-Out. There are no additional costs for Sleep-Outs from Plains Camp.

What you need to know about check-in/check-out

Check-in

  • Wilderness trails are subject to a minimum of a 2-night stay at Plains Camp
  • Start and endpoint of the trail is at Rhino Post Safari Lodge
  • Guests are to meet at Rhino Post Safari Lodge between 12h30 & 14h00
  • Guests are then transferred to Plains Camp at 14h00 on the day the trail commences at Plains Camp.
  • Please note that because of the remoteness of the area and so as not to disrupt other guests, guests arriving after 14h00 will be transferred through to Plains Camp as soon as a vehicle becomes available. We cannot guarantee that this will be in time for the afternoon activity.
  • Guests arriving after 14h00 may be transferred to Plains Camp as late as 20h30

Check-out

  • Check out is at 11h00
  • Guests will return to Rhino Post Safari Lodge from Plains Camp between 11h00 – 12h00 on the day of departure
  • Please ensure that travel times to and from Plains Camp are taken into account when making your travel arrangements
  • Note that the transfer to Rhino Post for check-out takes place from Plains Camp after the morning activity and brunch. Should an earlier transfer be required, there will be an additional charge

Before your journey

Terms and conditions apply to all Seolo Africa journeys, offers, specials and long-stay discounts. Please ensure you familiarise yourself with them when making a booking.
What is included/excluded in the advertised rate?

Included in our rate

  • Transfer from Rhino Post Safari Lodge to Plains Camp at 14h00 on day of arrival
  • Transfer from Plains Camp to Rhino Post Safari Lodge at approximately 11h00 on day of departure
  • Early morning tea/coffee and a light snack before the morning walk
  • Morning walk including juice, water and snacks
  • Brunch on return from the morning activity at approximately 10h00
  • High Tea at 15h30 – substantial sweet and savoury dishes, plus tea, coffee, water or juice
  • Afternoon walk and evening game drive including a bottle of water, sundowner drink (beer, wine by the glass, sherry or a soft drink) and sundowner snacks
  • Bar snacks
  • Dinner (served at approximately 20h30)
  • Coffee and Tea after dinner

Excluded from our rate

  • From 1 August 2020, drinks are no longer included in the rate
  • Estate wines, spirits and imported beers
  • Laundry (This is sent offsite and is a 24-hour service)
  • Purchases from the curio shop at Rhino Post Safari Lodge
  • Telephone calls made from Rhino Post Safari Lodge on arrival/departure
  • Private transfers to and from Plains Camp outside of the stipulated complimentary transfer times
  • Conservation Fees payable to Kruger National Park
  • Gratuities & Items of a personal nature
